The project is committed to responsible social impact management through:


Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)

A comprehensive framework has been developed to properly relocate and compensate people displaced by the project. The RAP ensures fair compensation, livelihood restoration, and special attention to vulnerable groups including:

  • Female-headed households

  • Elderly individuals

  • Persons with disabilities

  • Low-income families



Community Engagement

Ongoing dialogue with communities along the corridor through:

  • Public consultations

  • Information sharing sessions

  • Focus groups with vulnerable populations

  • Public consultations, focus groups, and media updates

  • Ongoing updates shared via Facebook, Instagram and Radio.

Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM)

A formal system is in place to receive, process, and address concerns from affected communities:

  • Dedicated Community Liaison Officer

  • Clear process for submitting and tracking complaints

  • Timely resolution of issues

  • Regular reporting on grievance status

Public Education

The Project will roll-out a Socially Inclusive and Gender Responsive Road Safety Awareness Communication Campaign. It's key elements include:

  • A Slowing Down Saves Lives Billboard Campaign

  • Prominent Cultural Influencers to engage across all demographics

  • School-based Campaign engaging directly with schools in along the Project Corridor

  • Volunteer Working Group comprising a broad-based civil society stakeholder group

  • Multi-media Education and Sensitization Tools
